Try Using it Front AND Back

I haven't made much time for my craft room lately, so it was a real treat to get in there and make this card.

It kind of evolved as the minutes ticked by.

It's kind of a backwards gate fold or some sort of shutter fold-----------I don't really know.  Maybe you do?  It all started with a little inspiration from a friend in an email this morning.  She shared a Splitcoast Stampers card with me.

At first it looked like this.  But I knew it wasn't finished yet.  I happened to be on the phone with my mom, so I took this picture, sent it to her, and got her opinion.  "Leaves," was her answer.

I took old CTMH markers in Autumn Terracotta, Goldrush, and Barn Red and drew colored leaves.  Wow did it make a difference!

On the back side, I added scraps of paper and left the middle pretty blank for a personalized message.

I added "Love You" from the same stamp set as the sentiment on the front (a Hero Arts poly clear set #CL351).  The leaves are from a mini stamp set from CTMH and the Fall tree is from CTMH's "Four Seasons" stamp set.

See how I added just a touch of extra color with more drawn leaves?

Also used on this card is CTMH cardstock in Cocoa, Cashmere, and Colonial white--along with current patterned paper from CTMH.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look!
Blessings,
Brenda

I like everything about this card, the colors and the shape. It kicks it up a notch to use the whole card space for whatever you please. Great job !! :-) Mom
